Release Notes | 1.5.16 | 5 August 2026

What's new

The new questionnaire engine is going live on the NHS App

Our updated questionnaire engine has received full approval on the NHS App, and we will be rolling it out over the next week.

This follows the gradual rollout we began in 1.5.15, and means patients coming through the NHS App will now get the new questionnaire experience alongside those using Anima directly.

If you want to switch over to the new questionnaires - reach out to your representative at Anima, or via support.

Personal Scribe templates

You can now create, edit, and archive your own personal consultation note templates in Scribe, and set one as your default.

You can select a template when generating or regenerating a consultation note, and any notes you have already saved will keep their original structure and SNOMED codes.

Andi improvements

Andi now handles emergency escalation, patient matching, and request reason capture more reliably, and copes better with interruptions during a call.

Requests are now flagged in the clinics dashboard where a caller is distressed, abusive, or hostile, so your team has that context before picking the request up. Calls escalated to emergency status also trigger a notification in the clinics app.

Documents, records, and NHS integrations

Saved PDF highlights now stay translucent in EHR and NHS App viewers, so highlighted text remains readable.

We have also made letter-type search usable when no results match, added the ability to save generated fit notes directly to the patient record, and improved how forwarded emails are attributed to their original clinical author.

Reliability and safety

This release includes further safeguards around patient identity, appointment messages, call emergencies and non-answers, document processing, and record saving.

Behind the scenes

We have expanded our automated release certification and monitoring so we can detect problems earlier.
