Release Notes | 1.5.20 | 30 September 2026

What’s new

  • Faster document handling: clinicians can set a default document view, rotate a single page, split every page of a document in one click, and select several documents at once with Ctrl/Cmd+click or Shift+click. Workflows can be collapsed and moved straight to the top or bottom of the list.

  • See where suggestions came from: suggested codes, problems and tasks on a processed document show the passage they came from. Clicking the passage scrolls the PDF to it and highlights it. A task created from a suggestion keeps its passage, and the passage also shows in the task detail pane inside a document.

  • Seen indicator on tasks: practices can see whether the assignee has opened an assigned task.

  • Replace a code in place: a suggested or saved code can now be swapped for another one while keeping its linked summary, instead of removing it and adding a new one.

  • SystmOne problems: practices can choose to have the Anima summary written into new SystmOne problems when a document is saved to the record.

  • Custom questionnaires: practices can set send defaults that prefill the send form. Patients can complete a questionnaire the practice sent them even outside opening hours or when new requests are closed. Answers to custom questionnaires now appear in request details and reports.

  • PDF attachments from patients: patients can attach PDFs where a questionnaire asks for images, and clinicians can view and download them from the request.

  • Scribe recovery: live recordings are saved as they go and can be recovered if the session is interrupted.

Workflow improvements

  • Saving documents to the record: large EMIS documents (over 10 MB) now file correctly, PDF compression no longer stalls saves, annotated documents save from task review, and failed saves stay visible instead of sitting in the queue.

  • Coding and duplicates: code selection is more reliable, date-valued codes are filed with the date they record, and duplicates are flagged between unsaved copies in Processed.

  • Scanning and folder intake: fixes for renamed scanners, older desktop app versions and long scans timing out. Local folder sync ignores Office lock files and uploads each file once. Images in emailed documents are no longer cut off at the edge of the page.

  • Reports and activity: the documents export includes the date assigned and the number of documents assigned per person, and handover notes appear in the document activity log.

  • Requests and settings: assigned request counts match the selected practices, the auto-appointment rules screen no longer freezes, enhanced appointment filter options are off by default, and inactive practices are hidden from the login practice list.

  • AI summaries and triage: request summaries stay closer to what the patient reported, and questionnaires regain triage depth while keeping to a 15-question limit. Requests from the paediatric questionnaire are always rated red. Document summaries are generated more reliably.

Patient experience

  • When only the medical daily limit is reached, patients see a medical-specific message and can still send admin requests.

  • Patients can no longer submit the same questionnaire twice by accident.

  • Andi asks before falling back to a general assessment, no longer promises a transfer before one is confirmed, and matches patients more reliably when details differ slightly.

This release also includes reliability, monitoring and test-coverage improvements across Clinics, the patient app and supporting services.
