Release Notes | 1.5.18 | 3 September 2026

What's new

Fit notes

Fit notes now generate with the current MED3 barcode, so what you hand to a patient matches the latest form. Generating a fit note is now separate from generating a letter, and the codes you choose are carried through to sign-off with the attachment.

The fit note generator also opens more quickly, attaches reliably, and cancelling one now removes it from the action list.

Message templates with attachments

Message templates can now carry attachments, and you can browse the template library while composing. You can also edit the recipients on a one-off message before sending it.

Clearer scanning

A4 scans no longer come out cropped, and the document feeder page limit now counts pages rather than passes, so long documents scan in full.

Appointment reports over any date range

You can now run an appointment report over a date range you choose, and teams that have since been archived still appear by name in the results.

Fixes and improvements

• Scribe notes keep their formatting when written back to EMIS, and a generated note is no longer replaced by empty default sections.

• The Closed Items date filter stays as you set it when you return from viewing an item.

• Conversation counts on the dashboard update as you change filters.

• Save to record recovers more reliably after an EMIS session is interrupted, and when a save does fail it now tells you why.

• Local files left over from a document are cleared once it has saved to the record.

• Request assignments no longer appear out of date when using team filters.

• Blood test submissions are treated as medical requests.

• Submission confirmations go only to the proxy who made the request, and sign-off can reach a dependant's alternative contact where one is held.

• A clinical code preference no longer stops a concept being coded.

• The practitioner role from SystmOne is carried onto appointment slots and applied when an invite is accepted.

• Advice and Guidance message text now displays correctly.

• Patient age is shown correctly in the calendar, and document links open reliably.

• In the patient app, large uploads resume rather than starting again, and patients reaching a request limit get clearer feedback.

• Clinics stays responsive at busy practices, with a range of stability and security improvements throughout.
