From release 1.5.18, you can override the contact details Anima will use for a single message before you send it - without changing the phone number or email saved on the patient's record.
This is useful when the number or address on file is temporarily wrong or unavailable - for example, a patient messaging you from a different mobile, or a request that names a preferred contact route just for that conversation.
Steps
Open the message composer for the patient (from Contact patients or from an existing request's Message patient tab).
Before sending, find the recipient shown at the top of the composer.
Select the recipient to edit it, and enter the phone number or email address you want to use for this message.
Anima shows you which route the message will send by - for example, NHS App, SMS, or email - based on what's available.
Write your message as normal and send it.
Notes
This override applies to this message only. It does not update the patient's saved contact details in Anima or your EHR.
If you need to permanently correct a patient's contact details, update them from the patient's record instead — see How to manually enter a patient's contact details.
For sending to many patients at once, see How to bulk message multiple patients.
