When a Document is processed in Anima, Annie (Anima's AI) automatically applies codes to the document. These codes are applied but because the document is not yet saved to record, they will not appear in SystmOne or EMIS on the patient record.
If no changes are made and a user presses Saved to Record, then the codes Annie applied will be the codes added to the Record.
It is important to note that it is the practice/users responsibility to ensure coding accuracy and to add and remove as necessary to align Annie's coding to the Practice standards. The following steps are how to add and remove SNOMED codes in Anima prior to Saving to Record.
Note: once saved to record, codes can only be amended directly in the EHR (SystmOne/EMIS) and not from Anima.
Removing Codes
To remove a code, hover over the code provided for the X to come up. Remove by clicking the X button.
Adding Codes
You can add a read code in the Coding tab of an opened document, under the section Codes. You can do this in the box that says ‘Add a code’. A drop down will then appear for you to add the most relevant code.
The most relevant codes will appear at the top and will otherwise be matched by the words typed matching to the words in the code.
Adding additional Annie suggestions
Users can also add codes by scrolling to View other codes Annie suggested. From here, users will be given an option of all codes which Annie considered as relevant but did not apply.
